Fairmont Copley Weddings & Events
One of the most luxurious venues located in the heart of Boston, the Fairmont Copley provides you what essence of what Boston is all about. The luxurious lobby, the balcony view of the grand ballroom, to having to cut your cake on the stage between two stair cases, this venue exudes royalty. BSL has performed numerous events and is one of their preferred vendors. Imagine shutting done St James street, between Trinity Church and the Fairmont for a crazy baraat? Yup, we've done that too!
We Like to Light it up!
One of our most popular services at the Fairmont Copley is to provide lighting services for all types of events in their Ballrooms. Whether you are hosting a wedding, birthday, or a Mitvah, we carry all of your lighting needs. Our LED technology (as described in our lighting webpage) can be configured to literally any color you can dream of. If you are working within a theme, we can offer you pattern work to be projected on the walls or on the floor. Please check out some of our work below.
You can upgrade your lighting package to include an onsite tech which will allow you to change the lighting themes throughout the course of the night. Here is a time lapse video of us setting up uplights in their gorgeous ballroom
Standford Pitches his love
Elizabeth and Sahil, Boston, MA. Film by Harris Company
While we compete with the likes of 6 Indian based DJs across the United States, our home base is certainly our beloved New England. This story above is about a former star pitcher from Stanford, Sahil and the love of his life Elizabeth and their celebration at the gorgeous Fairmont Copley hotel. This wedding was predominantly a Jewish-based celebration, particularly because Elizabeth is 100% Jewish, and Sahil is half Jewish (his father) and half Indian (his mom). His Indian roots, and primarily at the wishes of his mother, they wanted to retain some of the ethnic culture into the celebration, and decided to instill it with music. You can find pictures from their wedding here.
#RoheenGotHisQueen
Neha and Roheen initially booked our luxury wedding planning service, Mint To Be Events. Hiring BSL was a tough sell. Our marketing is such that we ask our couples to pick out 5 songs each, and we quickly whip up a mix to prove to them that we are worth their challenge. Three mixes in, and we almost struck out. Not to fault the mixes any, but the songs they picked were so drastically different, then when we created the mix we mixed them to be played at a wedding. Music played in your car or at home is drastically different than how it is played at a wedding. It wasn't until we ROCKED a friend of the groom's wedding (Himanshu and Meena) that they were beyond sold. From shutting down St James street for the baraat to playing shenai in the clam shell room, to absolutely rocking the reception, this wedding was one for the ages!
Kate and Rahim
This two day fusion wedding focuses in on the love between two people, from two different cultures. Meet Kate and Rahim! Kate is our gorgeous American bride, and Rahim is our Pakistani prince. This wedding was one drafted in dreams and put in play by our awesome team, DJ Jay T and Dholi Ravi. The sangeet night was held overlooking the colonial streets of Boston as the State Room, and the wedding day was hosted at prestigious Fairmont Copley.
Lisa and Majd
Lisa and Majd’s wedding weekend was an inspiration to us in many ways. It was battling of two cultures, religions, and different worlds coming together as one. It reminded us of what we forget at times – that love overcomes all. Lisa is of Bengali Hindu origin, and Majd is Catholic Syrian, but together they are one and have never let the differences overcome the most important thing – their relationship. Check out their video above and pics below by our friends at Studio 9. Our wedding plan team, Mint To Be Events, planned their entire festivity. Read the full blog here.
Zarah and Hassan
We had a pleasure to service another beautiful Pakistani wedding of Zarah and Hassan at the Fairmont Copley. Check out some pictures from their wedding. You can read their article here.
